Power Platform Developer & Consultant

Emergent Software is looking for a Power Platform expert who is a smart, passionate, and curious problem solver with experience and passion around using Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio to solve business problems.

As a consultant, you will have the opportunity to help clients interested in the Microsoft Power Platform make decisions around which tool is right for the problem, including involving our software team to build out fully custom solutions. You will also have an opportunity to help shape and grow our small Power Platform practice.

A qualified candidate has advanced Power Platform knowledge including PowerApps and Power Automate as well as experience leading projects. This 100% remote position is for self-starters with good communication skills, work ethic, and the ability to participate in all aspects of the agile project life cycle.

Power Platform Developer & Consultant Primary Duties 

• Solve our client’s needs pragmatically by helping them envision how solutions leveraging Power Platform can solve their complex business problems. 
• Meet directly with clients to craft technology solutions, gather requirements, and estimate effort required to deliver the solutions. 
• Lead development projects including technical requirements gathering, data modeling, technology selection, and solution design. 
• Architect new applications with industry best practices. 
• Provide technical guidance on various projects throughout the software development life cycle. 
• Collaborate with other team members on agile development teams. 
• Provide feedback to other team members on architecture, design, and best practices. 
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively to meet our clients’ delivery expectations. 
• Mentor teammates to share your knowledge and build a stronger team. 
• Other related duties as assigned by your manager. 

Power Platform Developer & Consultant Qualifications 

• Proficiency in both functional and technical disciplines of Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience architecting & developing Power Apps to solve real world business problems.
• Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ability to facilitate design decisions based on best practices across development, configuration, integration, infrastructure, security, licensing, storage, and change management.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to deployment.
• Proven success leading projects from start to finish 
• Strong technical and non-technical communication skills, both written and verbal 
• Comfortable speaking to clients 
• Ability to estimate tasks effectively and accurately 
• Ability to gather and write strong requirements based on client’s business objectives 

Nice to Have Experience 

• Previous consulting experience 
• Working directly with customer teams of various sizes
• Experience using and implementing solutions using Copilot Studio (formerly Power Virtual Agents)
• Power BI experience
• SharePoint experience
• C#/.NET Experience
• Front-End experience including building custom connectors and components for the Power Platform
• Competent in Azure
