Medical
Emergent contributes up to 80% of your monthly medical premium costs. Employees can choose from multiple plans from BlueCross BlueShield including Health Savings Account (HSA) eligible plans and some with lower deductibles. Employees are eligible for medical coverage on the first day of their first full month of employment.
HSA Contribution
Emergent contributes up to $144/month to employees’ HSA accounts with HSA eligible plans.
Dental & Vision
Emergent contributes up to 50% of your monthly dental and vision premium costs. Employees can choose to opt out of dental, vision or both.
401(k) Match
Emergent provides a 401(k) plan with an 100% employer match up to 4% of the employee's contribution.
Profit Sharing
Every quarter, Emergent shares a portion of their profits with eligible employees of up to 15% of each employee’s salary.
Staff Rewards Program
Emergent offers multiple ways for its staff to earn additional income beyond their salary. Eligible employees are rewarded financially for extra hours, off-hours work, and customer referrals through our Staff Rewards Program.
Flex Spending Account (FSA) for Dependent Care & Healthcare Costs
Emergent staff can contribute to our Flex Spending Account (FSA) as a way to spend pre-tax dollars on healthcare (non-HSA plans) and dependent care related expenses. Our Healthcare FSA includes a $550 carryover allowance for any money left in the account at the end of the year.
Dependent Care FSA Contribution
Emergent contributes $90/month to employees’ Dependent Care FSA accounts for spending on childcare and other dependent care related expenses.
Short Term & Long Term Disability
Emergent provides an employer paid policy for short & long term disability. The short term disability benefit is 60% of weekly earnings up to $500 for 12 weeks and the long term disability benefit is 60% of monthly earnings to $6,000 per month after a 90-day elimination period.
Life Insurance
Emergent provides an employer-paid policy for group term life and AD&D insurance equal to employee annual salary up to a maximum of $50,000.
PTO (Personal Time Off)
Personal time off is pro-rated based on employee start date and length of employment. Available to all full-time salaried employees.
Holidays
Emergent offers eight paid Holidays per year, including two floating holidays, providing the flexibility to celebrate the holidays of your choice: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving (floating), Christmas Eve (floating), Christmas Day. All full-time salaried employees are eligible for these paid holidays.
Paid Parental Leave
Emergent offers full-time employees two weeks of paid Maternity / Paternity / Adoption Leave to welcome their new addition to their family. We follow FMLA rules beyond the first two weeks.
Staff Development Program
Eligible employees can spend up to 100 hours of their regular work time per year to focus on their own professional development through activities like attending trainings & conferences, educating the broader software community, and working on their own projects using new technologies.
Extra Compensation
At Emergent, we value work-life balance and protect our employees from demands to work more than a 40-hour work week. However, employes who choose to work more than 40 hours per week are compensated for their extra hours at a rate based on their salary. Employees are also paid extra for off-hours work, when necessary.
Additional compensation is available to employees who make customer referrals or employee referrals.
