We’re proud to say that Emergent Software has once again been named to Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s Best Places to Work. 2023 marks the third time we’ve made this list.
The award is based on anonymous employee surveys sent to the whole team. We place a high value on our company culture at Emergent and we’re thrilled to see that reflected in the results of the survey.
What makes Emergent Software a great place to work?
It’s easy to talk about our great work culture, but what does that really mean? Here are a few of the things that we think make Emergent the best place to work.
Remote culture
Emergent Software has always been WFH-friendly, but in 2020 we went fully remote. Employees have a flexible schedule and can work from anywhere. This is very popular with team members due to the better work/life balance and popular with leadership due to increased productivity.
Opportunities to connect
We love remote work, but the downside at some companies is that it’s hard to stay engaged and really get to know your coworkers.
At Emergent Software, we make sure that team members have plenty of chances to interact thanks to virtual events held throughout the year. We also have an annual all-company get together in the Twin Cities called Emergent Connect, which features team-building and fun social activities.
Professional development and learning opportunities
Emergent Software employees are always improving their skills. We offer team members 100 hours per year of professional development time to further their career development through training, conferences, and more.
We also give employees the chance to share their expertise and learn from others through semi-weekly lunch-and-learns that are optional but always well-attended.
Interesting projects
Our diversity of clients means we get to work on many interesting and complex projects. Plus, employees can feel good knowing that our work truly has a positive impact on our partners.
